Suzanne Ricklin, LCSW-C, BCD, CEDS
Suzanne is one of the two founding partners of Century Mental Health, Inc. She has been providing counseling and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for over 25 years, treating clients facing a wide range of personal, emotional, life transition and mental health issues. In a warm, relaxed setting, she collaborates with clients to help them strengthen their resilience, develop more effective communication, coping and problem solving skills, and learn how their thoughts and perceptions impact their moods, feelings and actions. Suzanne views therapy as a unique opportunity for clients to explore personal growth work, clarify goals and intentions, reduce stress and gain a better understanding of themselves and their relationships. Integrating training in cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, affective, Rogerian and experiential therapies, she strives to help clients achieve more balanced, satisfying and fulfilling lives.
Suzanne has expertise in treating eating disorders, weight and body concerns and related issues of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, addictions and other compulsive behaviors. Through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp), she is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and an iaedp Approved Supervisor, one of a limited number of professionals nationwide (and internationally) to achieve these two distinctions. She is a Board Certified Diplomate, a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Her professional career includes work as an educator, consultant, author and speaker. She is a faculty member at The Ferentz Institute: Advanced Psychotherapy Training & Education in Baltimore, Maryland. Suzanne earned her Master’s Degree (MSW) from The University of Maryland School of Social Work.
