Therapeutic Approach

Jan approaches therapy from a strengths-based perspective that focuses on building resiliency and fostering positive change. Her work is grounded in warmth, compassion, and collaboration. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to the individual needs and unique characteristics of every client.

She integrates creative modalities and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients develop new skills, strengthen coping strategies, and reach meaningful goals. When working with adolescents, Jan partners closely with parents to help them understand their child’s experiences, support growth, and strengthen family relationships. Additionally, Jan's background in OT (Occupational Therapy) creates a unique holistic approach which combines both emotional regulation and insight oriented therapy and improving daily functioning and participation in meaningful activities.  The goal is to translate insight into action.
