Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first session is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. We will discuss your goals, your concerns, and any questions you may have about the therapy process. Your therapist will also gather your background information to help create a personalized treatment plan.
-
Most sessions last about 50 minutes with longer or shorter sessions available upon request. Your therapist will recommend a schedule that best supports your progress, whether that is weekly, biweekly, or another arrangement.
-
CMH does not participate with insurance companies. This allows our clinicians to focus fully on your care without the limits and restrictions that insurance plans often place on treatment. Many clients appreciate the increased privacy, flexibility, and individualized approach that comes with private pay services.
If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your plan directly to ask about your specific out-of-network coverage.
Our team is always happy to answer questions and help you understand what payment options are available.

We will guide you based on your goals, preferences, and areas of concern. Each therapist has unique specialties and clinical styles. You can also read our clinician profiles to learn more about their backgrounds and approaches.

We understand that unexpected situations happen. Please call the office as soon as possible to reschedule. Your clinician will explain the cancellation policy during your first appointment.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee. This policy allows us to respect our clinicians’ time and offer availability to other clients in need of care.
