Suzanne Ricklin, LCSW-C, BCD, CEDS - has been providing counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for over 25 years. She is one of the two founding partners of Century Mental Health, Inc.  Suzanne treats a wide range of personal, emotional, life transition and mental health issues in her practice. In a warm,  relaxed setting, she collaborates with clients to help them strengthen their resiliency and develop more effective communication and problem solving skills. They learn how their thoughts and perceptions impact their feelings, moods and actions. Suzanne views therapy as a unique opportunity for her clients to engage in personal growth work, clarify goals, reduce stress and better understand themselves and their relationships. Integrating her training in cognitive, affective, behavioral, Rogerian and experiential therapy, she strives to help clients achieve more balanced, satisfying and fulfilling lives.

Suzanne has additional expertise in treating eating disorders and the often related issues of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addictions and other compulsive behaviors.  In 1995, she became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). In 2007, Suzanne became an IAEDP Approved Supervisor (1 of 24 in the United States and the only one in Maryland). She is also a Board Certified Diplomate, a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She earned her masters degree from The University of Maryland School of Social Work. Her long career includes working as an educator, speaker, consultant and member of various community and professional committees and Boards of Directors.
